2003 Sahara. Since I got 35's I wanted to move my tire inside rather than a new rear bumper with swing out or the additional weight on my tailgate hinges.

My rear seat sits on a shelf of a rack I made to hold my top when its off ad I don't ever use it.

I repurpose the stock carrier bolted to a couple of 1/4" thick steel plates that bolt where the seat mounts were using the stock seat bracket bolts. The oem mount actually holds the 12.5 wide tire off the carpet a inch. My wheels are 15x8 with 4.5 backspacing.

With inflation what it is I spent $50 on the 2 plates. I have an inch clearance between shut tailgate and tire

How do you like the patagonias?

How do you like the patagonias?

My jeep is not my daily driver. I have them on 15x8 wheels so they don't run flat across the tread at 26psi. I like them. way quieter than I thought they would be but that's prob the 8" wheel.

I wanted to try them cause I follow Matts offroad on you tube and they seem to work well for him.

They are the 02's and balanced fine and run 70mph down the road fine.

Yep,I watch him and colt also, must be pretty tuff from what they put em through.they also probably get them free.im needing tires, probably wait until I turn 62 in 6 months, retirement is being unemployed the rest of our life.i will be running 15x8 also so i wonder if the center would wear out with a lot of hwy?

The patagonias in our group chunked quickly and were mediocre offroad with a very limited lifespan

were those the new mt02 or the older ones?

Don't know. Don't care. I got a brand new set of Patagonias attached to a set of wheels I needed about four years ago. This was during the height of their YT sponsorship giving tires away to your favorite influencers.

They had awful traction both on and off road. They squealed around every turn. They left piles of rubber dust in the rocks. I need to groove them to begin making them grab. On their final trail run, a hand sized flap ripped free from the tread face.

They survived about 3-4 months and a single summer from brand new to nearly bald.

Patagonias are a garbage tire and anyone running them on a YouTube channel is getting them for free and lying about how good they are.

Why don't you look up every thread I have posted (not that many like you) and find something negative to say in each one. That's what sore losers do...

We have wildly different ideas of how things work. And don't forget the other guy who said negative things about your tires.

What was the competition that he lost and why is he sore about it? That said, our experience with those tires mirrors his exactly, or almost exactly. We had a cute saying about them in JV. They worked very well right up until the point you needed them to.

Its always navigating politics, personalities and ego's. I have him on ignore now so that's good enough..

I used your kit to fix a stripped skid plate bolt when I got my jeep. I appreciate your practical solutions.

My jeep is not a daily driver I use it for scenic excursions with my wife (she has a bad back and doesn't like more adventurous trails. And it gets me to deer stands. My sons have Jeeps and along with motorcycle trips we take they want to go to Windrock and Moab so will prob trailer both their jeeps on a gooseneck on those trips and ride with them and leave my jeep at home.

Mine doesn't have to be the most capable, it works for my needs. I have friends in CO that go to Moab a few times a year so they know most of the trails so looking forward to that.

That has nothing to do with anything. Please excuse my negativity. 🤣

The 02's are redesigned to address all the complaints about the originals so time will tell.

I posted a thread about my 35's getting into my stock rear fenders and how after I put Bushwacker flat fenders on that gave me more clearance there as my tires did not hit the Bushwackers which was the purpose of the thread and he tried to turn it into a suspension thread.

When I say "mustard and onions" and somebody claims I said mayonaise and pickles sometimes I feel like clarifying what I said. I never said the flares gave me more travel. You can read the thread for yourself.

Of course after that this thread is about a way to mount your spare inside if you wish to do so and someone asked me my opinion of my new tires and I gave it. He then tries to disparage my opinion about the new 02's which are not the same the as the originals you refered to.

This is a spare tire mount thread not a tire thread.

Even someone like that still belongs to a super intelligent species so that makes him smarter than a chimpanzee.

You argued that you have 7" of up travel with 35s and a 2.5" spring lift. You did not like the responses you got and now you are an angry little boy.
