I have had a vacuum whistle for a couple of years and have finally narrowed it down to the throttle body shaft. I tried to find a new throttle body but everything was coming up “discontinued or out of stock”. I ordered a used one off eBay that works but still has a whistle (just a different pitch). Any ideas of a good source for new/old parts? Any suggestions on how to minimize the whistle with an existing TB? The Jeep is running fine just an annoying whistle.

Not suggesting it is worth an upgrade, but there are manufacturers making new "62mm" throttle bodies. If you can't find an OEM one, those aftermarket ones might also work.

Note: I suspect the 62mm throttle bodies will work like stock, but they are not a power upgrade from my understanding,

I think we all have the same problem.

I have been hesitant about ordering an aftermarket one but I may do so. I even thought about adding a felt or rubber “washer” like those on lawnmower carbs since I now have a spare to work on. The TB is not a complex piece of machinery.
