Here are a couple of pics of todays travels. I decided to hit the desert for awhile.
I call this spot Mom's Mountain. She and Dad visited some years back when she was fighting cancer. I brought them up here in my JKU. She had a blast as 4-LO is required to get up here and she thought it was a great adventure.
Today my TJ did great. The mountain top It is white quartz. Someone blasted this flat spot, I assume looking for gold ore. Unsuccessfully, or the mountain would be gone. Second pic I was set up for lunch and an adult soda.
Almost forgot to mention, Looking north is toward Dixie Valley. Kind of hazy today. Unseen behind the rocks is a Navy Bombing range at Fairview Peak. Eventually the Navy will withdraw this area from public access.
