While chasing down a misfire code, I decided to disconnect the O2 sensors to see if that could possibly be my issue. My bank 2 sensor 2 (I think?) connector had actually melted and I couldn't disconnect it. Partially out of frustration and me just not thinking I just snipped the melted connectors off without realizing the wires coming from the loom weren't color coded. Or, they were and just faded away. Very dumb of me. Weirdly enough all the other O2 sensors have color coded wiring except that one.
Instead of replacing the connectors, since the O2 sensor is fairly new I want to just solder the wires directly to the sensor except since they aren't labelled or colored on the PCM side I don't know which one goes where. How would I go about determining this? I'd assume I'd need a multimeter to figure out which two wires are for the heating element and which one is for the signal?
