How do I identify O2 sensor wires?

While chasing down a misfire code, I decided to disconnect the O2 sensors to see if that could possibly be my issue. My bank 2 sensor 2 (I think?) connector had actually melted and I couldn't disconnect it. Partially out of frustration and me just not thinking I just snipped the melted connectors off without realizing the wires coming from the loom weren't color coded. Or, they were and just faded away. Very dumb of me. Weirdly enough all the other O2 sensors have color coded wiring except that one.

Instead of replacing the connectors, since the O2 sensor is fairly new I want to just solder the wires directly to the sensor except since they aren't labelled or colored on the PCM side I don't know which one goes where. How would I go about determining this? I'd assume I'd need a multimeter to figure out which two wires are for the heating element and which one is for the signal?

Why do you want to solder the wires rather than use a connector?
How do you plan to install the sensor into the bung if the wires are soldered to the loom?

The sensor is already installed, the only reason I'd want to solder the wires is because I'd otherwise have to toss out a perfectly good O2 sensor just because I chopped the connector off. Couldn't find the correct pigtail connector.

i would start by looking at the wiring diagram (section 8W) in the FSM for your year. You can find it in the Resources section on this forum.
