I have been researching small 5x8 campers to pull behind my TJ. I have come across many videos of people building them at home.
Have any of you built one? If so, can you post a few pics?
Any pointers before I decide on attemping to build one?

Yes, weight is the enemy and it mounts up really quickly. mine is nearing completion and is currently at 620kg (1360lb) still needs a 20kg mattress, a 20kg awning and a few other items. Lets say it's approx 680kg (1500lb) when finished . Bare chassis with wheels and tyres would be around the 270-280kg mark, so the camper shell alone is around 300kg. This pic is its first tow, needs a few tweaks but am pretty happy with the outcome.

That looks great, kind of military looking. Is that built from a kit or did you come up with this design?

BTW my cousin is in the RAAF in Williamtown.
