I've decided to upgrade my sound system and need help deciding what head unit to go with. I really only listen to the radio and play music from my phone so I don't see the need for a touch screen. My replacement center dash is for a double din unit so I'm locked into those types.
Im looking at this pioneer

And a Kenwood

Any help or expertise would be appreciated.

This one gets my vote.

You need to decide what functions you need or want. I use a unit that is a media player only and am happy with it. I would recommend going to krutchfield and using their filter to narrow down the choices.

That's what I did. Ended up with an Alpine unit with basic functions, Bluetooth, and some pioneer speakers IIRC.

Since we know $$ is no longer a determining factor, go big. Get the double din bezel and go for the largest screen it will fit.

Based on what you'll use it for, I'd probably just go with what ever is cheapest. Radios get more expensive with sound processing abilities, pre-out voltages, etc. If you're just listening to radio and/or phone, you'll never realize any of these benefits so a "cheap" unit will work just fine.
