Please help. My headlights got stuck on highbeam and wouldn't go to low. I bought a new switch assembly. I tried to replace it myself. The connector was burnt so I took to mechanic and had the connector replaced. I went to pick it up and after test drive it got stuck on high again. He started going high to low beam over and over and it stopped. Later that night it did it again and I tried doing what mechanic did. Then it quit working completely u less I pulled the switch to me and held it while driving. Now it does nothing. All the other lights are working. Is the problem in a wire? Is it a bad turnsignal assembly replacement or is it a relay somewhere?
2005 Is the year

Do you have the factory headlights and wiring or are the headlights after market and a stand alone wiring harness installed that ties into the factory headlight wiring?
I would start by inspecting the connectors that plug into the headlights looking for signs of overheating or insulation that has shrunk allowing for bare wiring to touch.

Hope these wiring schematics assist you in troubleshooting your problem.

I appreciate it. I will let my buddy look at those. Im not that good with electrical. The headlight relay looked good. I swapped with another one too and it didnt fix it. I am gonna feel like a real idiot if wires touching at headlight caused this. Im already in it a few 100 🤦
