Headlight issue

Hello! Just purchased a 2000 wrangler today, but it has a problem .

The headlight knob isn’t turning on the headlights, and the indicator lever yields nothing so no blinkers.

When I pull the knob out my dash lights dim, but head lights don’t turn on. When I pull the lever for the high beams no indicator light on the dash turns on.

The hazard switch works and flashes on the fog lights and rear brake lights.

I live in the Caribbean so wire deterioration is a possibility, just curious if it’s a simple switch that needs to be replaced or if I need to start chasing down grounds.

The first thing I would check is the fuse. Next I'd pull the headlight switch and checkout the connections to see if they're rusty and corroded.

All the fuses are good. I’ll check the headlight switch next. Thank you
