Been smelling that hot engine smell, figured the valve cover gasket was leaking. Well i just seen today on the parting line of the head and block, above the oil filter, a little oil seepage? Whats the next steps?
So not an IMMEDIATE issue. Cool. I was not looking forward to pulling the head this weekend. No oil in coolant or vice versa. Ill keep an eye on it. I have a 2000 so i would rather wait to get a tuppy head before doing it.

We used KW's Copper Coat spray on stainless shim head gaskets for small block Chevys. We never had a leak , but I also don't know if we would have if we didn't use the Copper Coat .
It’s doesn’t take much oil to look like a bad leak. What I would do is change your valve cover gasket. Then, clean the engine well. Then, run it and monitor for leaks.
