Hello Guys!!!

I hope you are doing well.

I just bought my Wrangler Tj 98 Soft Top, the last owner put a Rampage soft top but I don't know, that's something wrong I reckon.

As you can see the photos attached the half doors doesn't fit properly its kind of the surrounds needs adjustment or even replaced by the larger ones maybe?

I was thinking buying the lager ones but could not be the problem and I don't want waste money, if you have any idea Ill be happy...

I have watched a tons of videos on YouTube and all of them are great and fitted perfectly.

Thank you!!!

The last picture... what am I looking at?
Doesn't look like a stock door surround.
I'm not familiar with how the the Rampage tops install or which one you have but I just watched a vid on it and that model does use standard door surrounds.

Idk what little surrounds you have but It looks like you’re missing the door surrounds all together. If the upper and top are from the same brand I’d suspect something is wrong but if the uppers are just oem I’d guess the top is being the weird fitment.
How does the upper fit in the front corner on the top of the windshield?
Otherwise you can check the door fitment. You can adjust the door by loosening the hinges. If the door fits well then the upper bars might need bent/ they got bent somehow.
Here is a pic of my tj with just the stock door surrounds for reference which you seem to know about but for others looking later.

Exactly, the doors surround are not OEM, look like a aftermarket option, but I'm not too sure if fitting a OEM door surrounds will solve the problem, Im living in Australia, is not too easy find this part around here + is not cheap, I'm trying to have certainty to not waste money 😅

Definitely is different, the OEM door surrounds like yours are much larger than mine, but as you can see in mine wrangler, the door is closing over the soft top, even if I fit a OEM door surround, my thinking is that the doors will keep closing over the soft top, I may be wrong but looks like the soft top was made for exactly that sh*t aftermarket door surround 🫠

the aftermarket door surround is just a thin piece of frame like 1.5 inch larger or maybe less, ridiculous.
