I'm curious if anyone who bought the MOPAR half door seals still has their plastic "drill here" templates and would be willing to let them go or loan them out?

If you're fine letting them go, my plan (after I've drilled my doors) is to share them on down the road with whoever needs them next.

If you want them back, and you're willing to loan them, I'll gladly pay for shipping both ways.

Figured I'd ask the community before I go and attempt drilling without templates.

Thanks all.

What year are your doors? I’ve replaced both my half door seals in my 02 with these. They were drill free. Leak free for a year+

Appreciate it.

I'm unsure of actual vintage, but I know they're early, probably 97-98. They have the plastic track where the seal is supposed to be seated.

I'm hoping to dump that configuration and go the plug-in trim retainer route. I already have a set of Fairchild seals, but didn't want to fudge the drilling.

Did you ever find a template you could use? I bought some half doors for my TJ that came from a 97 and I need to drill the new holes as well.

I did not. I pulled the old track off and didn't worry about getting all the excess glue off the metal, it was a good guide for the eventual drilling.

I ended up temporarily setting the new pins into the existing holes on the doors, then marking lines on either side of the pins that didn't have an existing hole with a Sharpie.

The old track glue showed me about where the weatherstrip should sit. So I ended up drilling between the lines I'd marked and in the middle of the glue line.

That process worked for me and it all went together pretty nicely.
