Hi all,

I am a newbie into the wrangler world and just bought a TJ 2 days ago. Last night I tried to turn the hazard lights on and it made a buzzing noise before blowing fuse 27 which stopped my indicator and hazard lights from working.

I replaced the fuse and it immediately blew up again. After a bit of research, I tried to look for a hanging wires or anything usual around the indicator lights without much luck.

After more research I started messing around behind the steering column cabling. I replaced the LED relay with the factory one (I have LED indicator lights at the back) and after this the fuse stopped blowing and my hazard lights were functional although the indicators were still not working. The fuse blew again as soon as I replace the relay with the LED relay.

I am now stuck not knowing if the issue is with the multifunction switch unit, LED relay, connected to the multifunction switch unit or a ground somewhere.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I'd say, fill out your profile, so we know which jeep that we're dealing with. Then, I'd replace the relay with a brand new unit (non-led). Troubleshoot from there.

You could try the factory relay that you have but I'd eliminate it as a problem too, just for grins.
