I just picked this “full length” instatrunk and was curious if anyone knew anything about these. No brand marks I can find but almost looks like it was a factory option or just a well made aftermarket accessory when TJs were brand new. Looks like it attaches to the rear seat mount on 97-02 TJs where it pivots.

Very interesting. Never seen or heard of one. I wonder whether it was a dealer option.

Made by Bestop? Think it was part of a system. More info in this thread.

So I did some digging, I found something about it. Supposedly its an “Extendatrunk” and only info I can find online was a forum thread from 2007 but they are saying it is Bestop.

Oh my goodness, I completely forgot about the Extendatrunk lol ahhh that brings back memories of standing in the Bestop parking lot and installing one when I started back in 2008!! It was part number 42633-01, I attached the instructions if anyone in this thread is interested? ... I can't get parts for it anymore though.

That's not our Instatrunk, I'm actually not sure whose it would be unfortunately.

That's why I said earlier in the thread that it was Bestop :)
