Been searching for a Bosch 67726, but sure can't find one .I did find what my mechanic said is a good one spesp7156m , thought i would but it out there.

At this point the only place you'll find a Bosch pump is eBay or somewhere with leftover stock.

I'd just run whatever pump you choose at this point and hope that it lasts a while.

I ended up changing my fuel pump this morning (used the Delphi P/N FG1353).. Test drive was good. It corrected an errant fuel gauge indication issue and a "crank it twice to start" issue on my 1997 TJ 4.0.

That's great, hope it works out and sure it will. How long did it take for change out

It depends on how rusty the bolts are and how much gas is in the tank. When I changed mine out, I had just filled up when the pump went out.

I went to Harbor Freight and bout the Pittsburgh ATV jack.

Probably took me 3 hours total taking my time.

3 -1/2 fours at a nice leisurely pace. I was delayed for a bit as I discovered my fuel filler hose vent line was chafed all the way through so I had to run up to NAPA for some replacement fuel line and replace the vent line.
Abbreviated version:
Its a fairly strait forward replacement. I ran it near empty, so the tank would be easy to maneuver.
-Placed the vehicle on jack stands (frame)
-remove both wheels
-removed filler neck attachment
-floor jack under the tank
-remove 7 nuts (3 fwd / 4 aft)
-lower tank a few inches
-disconnect, fuel line, vent, and electrical plug
-lower the tank while feeding the fuel filler hose clear of obstructions..
-remove and replace the fuel pump

Good luck

As long as mine runs i will burn off fuel , my jeep has no rust on it . Like that you send Pic with wheels off that should help room wise

Yep because this time I didn't remove them and it made it a bigger pain in the rear.

With regards to the replacement fuel pump assembly you end up buying be sure to get one for your correct fuel tank capacity - there is a 15 gal version and a 19 gal version (at least for the 1997 TJ..
