Fuel pump not turning on

I was having trouble starting my jeep. It would crank but would never turn over. Then I looked up what I thought was the problem. I thought the fuel pump was going bad and not holding the pressure. So I started using the method of turning the key 3 to 4 times to prime the system before trying to start. It worked for a time but then I noticed the pump was not always turning on to prime when I turned the key. I figured it was a bad fuel pump and decided it was time to replace it. I replaced it and the fuel pump continues to not turn on with turning the ignition switch. is there a short in the ignition switch or do I have a faulty fuel pump relay or is it something else that I haven't thought off?

I'd definitely start checking wiring and grounds.

Really easy to swap the fuel pump relay.
