Front sway bar link isn't installed correctly

Hi - I'm new to this forum. I just purchased this 2005 Wrangler Sport. The previous owner had a budget 2" lift installed which I am removing and returning the Jeep to stock. I noticed the driver's side sway bar link is top nut is barely through the link and the link appears very close to the sway bar/frame. I attached the photos labeled "DR" for driver side. The pass side link "PR" looks fine. I purchased 4 new links, springs, shocks. What is going on here?

I believe I figured this out. The previous owner installed extensions on top of the links to connect the after market links which connect horizontally through the top eye hole. See photo below. The stock links mount vertically to the sway bar. So I could install the correct ones which should solve the problem. Any Thoughts?

Sway bar isnt centered? And the bracket on the sway bar is not installed correctly.

And you can probably run those sway bar disconnects at stock height. I did before I installed the lift.

Also notice where the sway bar is connected to the link-

Sometimes I don’t even read deep into the thread

It just jumped out at me because I made the same mistake with those links a time or two
