Front pinion yoke

Hey, just in the process of changing front pinion seal on my jeep. Front is a dana 44 .The yoke shaft has grooves on it guessing it needs replace as well?

Yeah I would. Looks pretty deep.

Thats what I thought, no harm in asking.. Now to just get the seal out. Going to order a new one now..Thanks ..

Another option is to use a speedi-sleeve. SKF99155. That’s what I did.

Maybe next time. They’re a good option to salvage a genuine Dana yoke. I wouldn’t throw it away.
