2003 TJ Sahara Automatic with 4 inch Rockjock/Currie lift + 1.25” body lift, Anti-rock(front) and Mega-short SYE/Tom Woods Rear shaft.
I’ve got a bad/chirping ujoint in the OEM front driveshaft CV joint. I am planning to just replace the shaft, probably with a Tom Woods or Adams Shaft. Should I bother to measure like I did for the rear or just order an OEM length one? There is the possibility that I'll do a tummy-tuck at some point in the future but it would likely be years down the road. I don't plan to ever add any more lift.
I ask because the Jeep is currently serving as a second vehicle on a temporary basis and I can’t afford for it to be down the time it’ll take to remove it, measure it and wait for one to be shipped.

I would assume the folks at Tom Woods and Adams would generally know the length based on extensive experience.

Adams sent me perfect lengths for my front and rear.

But again...the more you customize the less predictable things get.

And in the end it's all just assumptions. That works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.

You also don't have to remove the shaft to get a length... although it's easier to get a more accurate number.
