Hi. Just replaced calipers, rotors and pads on the Jeep with PowerStops kit. Brakes seem good and are a nice upgrade from what I had, but I was checking everything out after a few days and noticed the bottom ears of my driver side pads are out a little from the knuckle/slide area. Is this normal? Thanks for any information.

It's touching where it needs to.

Question
If you replaced old (worn out) brakes with new brakes, then how do you know it was an upgrade?

Digging further, I think I've got the pads upside down. "C" notch in pad is on top, and the pic I attached is of the bottom. I'm assuming the bottom of the pad is being kicked out when braking, thus moves it away from the slide area.

For your question, good point. I'm judging it with how the brakes felt when I got the Jeep (pads looked 80%), and how they feel compared to others (friends) I've driven. Definitely not a true one to one, but they feel great 🙂
