Front Axle U-joints

Before you slide the axles back in. Get you a piece of 1.5” or so of pvc, tape it up on the end of a vacuum and run it in and out of the axle tubes so you don’t push dirt and trash in when you slide the axles back in.

Spot on Jzeus! The attached pic shows what was vacuumed out of the axle tubes.

The Jeep is back together (w/ OEM axles and new U-joints) and is a bit more road-worthy.

Since you’ve got it cleaned out now, make it a habit like me when you wash the jeep take your garden hose and spray up in the tubes for a minute or so to wash out any stuff that’s made its way into it. I also stick the hose into the highest hole on the frame rail and let it run for a few minutes to flush out any crap that’s in it also.
