I found these 55 watt fog lamps on amazon and I was also able to find the female end connectors for the factory fog lamp connectors. My 2003 came from the factory with the fog lamp connectors but for whatever reason, the fog lamps were not on the car when I bought it. I was going solder the wires coming off the connectors to the wires coming off the lights so I can use the fog lamp switch on the turn signal indicator. Looks like the white wire should be the power and the black wire the ground. Is that correct? Has anyone had experience wiring in fog lights to use the factory connector? Thanks for the help

As long as they're the same wattage it will work fine.

I used factory connectors with my LED fog lights (which are much lower wattage than OEM) and it worked great.

White is power, black is ground.

I suspect many seeing this will recommend that you avoid soldering.

And others will tell you to solder away. The basic premise is: Airplane people won't solder, Boat people will insist on it. I come from an ocean going career, so I solder. Be sure to support the wire with heat shrink.

For anyone interested you can now buy a six pack of Nilight weatherproof connectors for $11.39. Great for driving/fog light connections.

I've been looking for a way to cap my connectors as I don't leave my driving lights on all year round so I ordered them and trimmed the wire off 2 of them so I can now protect my open connectors when the driving lights are not installed.

Sounds good. Here's the final result. I used some solder seal connectors.

Where can I find the connectors? I'd like to do the same.
