My new to me Jeep tub has quite a few holes in the floor which looks like someone just went after it with a tiny drill. I'm in the process of cleaning it up and would like to fill whichever holes are not needed and prime over them. Is there a reference illustration which shows what is actually supposed to be there?

Additionally, my old tub had a rubber drain plug below the seat right in the center, and this one doesn't have it. Are there drain plug differences between years?

Thanks.

Pictures please!

TJ’s do have drain holes with press in plugs in the footwells, but no small drill sized holes that I’m aware of.

Those small holes may be from other things that previous owners screwed down to the floor. Like power amps or storage boxes and the like.

But it’s hard to say without seeing what you’ve got.

Also, you might check the Factory Service Manual. There’s a thread where you can download the manual for your year Jeep here on the website. Just check the website map. 😺

Here is an example. I'm thinking these holes might have been drilled as drain holes while the tub was sitting outside so it didn't fill up with rain water.

Those are not factory holes. They should have just pulled the metal plugs to let water out while sitting outside. You could've then replaced with rubber plugs.

Ok thanks, i'm not even sure if they are drain holes now as they are pretty small. In either case i'll weld them closed and paint over the whole thing to clean it up. Do you know why there is a difference in drain holes between my old tub and this one? My old tub was a Sahara and this replacement was off a sport model. Not sure if that makes a difference?
