Shattered the rear window of my hardtop. Seems impossible to find a replacement or they are major dollars. Going to go down the plexiglass path. I have access to a large CO2 laser cutter so cutting plexiglass accurately is a dream. Does anyone have a drawing of the window? Or a template with dimensions they would share?

I've bought two rear hard top glasses from Acepickupparts on ebay. They were $220 +/-. This was in 2019 and 2021 so prices might have changed.

I have fitted a piece of plexiglass onto the hard top I don't know the exact position I need to mount the gas struts that were on the original glass. Can someone with a 98 TJ measeure the position of the gas strut attachements on the glass. Probably best to measure from the edge of the hard topm. I have a factory hard top. Thanks in advance.
You don't need gas struts with plexi. It is significantly lighter and when you close it it will put a lot of stress on the plastic.

See above. The struts will also push the plexi out, and at best it won't seal. At worst it'll break... somewhere in the middle, it will flex enough to pop over the tailgate...
I thought about doing my rear in plexiglass as well. I broke my rear glass twice and only replaced once before putting the HT in storage (w/o back glass). Here in Ontario you can buy a whole used top for about the same or less than just the rear glass. If you try to see your HT without rear glass you have to give it away free.
Can you take a template to a glass company and have them water jet one from safety glass?
If you look at my pics of my garage all the doors are safety glass...for security and hurricane reasons. By safety glass I am referring to a sheet of plastic melted between two sheets of glass.
