Factory block and head color?

I picked up a 99 TJ ,4 cyl a couple months ago. Cant believe I didn't notice this, but the head is painted kind of a ford blue color. I assume its been off and reworked for unknown reasons. Im guessing it was originally black like the block?

Blue is definitely not a factory color. The head has been replaced or reworked at some point.

Pull the spark plugs and get an endoscope down to look at a cylinder...most have marks to let you know the size... assuming they're not covered with carbon.

That is just remnant paint the shop had hanging around.
