You're right, I generally do bitch about RVs. Up until Y2K, I had been involved with them my entire life - lived and breathed RVs. I loved them - and I actually still do. But with a lifetime's experiences, I know what I like and don't like - no windows in the front are one of the things I don't like. Cheap ass leak prone construction is another - and they ALL pretty much are leak prone, its just a matter of time. Some are slightly better than others.
I was looking at a high end B+ - that actually has a fairly decent chance of not leaking anytime soon. Coming from cab over campers and 5th wheels, the motorhome culture is a bit of a shock. Effete as hell for one thing, impractical for another. This particular MH didn't have a gas fired water heater. Electric or engine heated only. Both those options are great, but I also want gas if I'm boondocking. Silly to run the generator to heat water - very costly and inefficient. If I'm not driving it somewhere, the heat exchanger method won't work either. And then there's the whole thing with many brands of MH that are now omitting the spare tire...
