Hi, does anyone know the name for this holder and what bulb it takes?

I’ve got a 06 TJ Japanese import and the Hella headlight has 2 bulbs in it. The main bulb is the normal, centre placed, two filament low and high beam, and there’s smaller bulb underneath which turns on with the first twist of the stalk. Daytime running lights for the Japanese market??

The problem is the bulb and holder are missing from the passenger side. The spade connectors are there which have voltage when the stalk is turned to position 1.

I can get them off eBay but I have to order a whole pack of 2 headlights for $110. Only need 1x small bulb and holder if anyone knows the specs? Thanks.

Pull the bulb from the good side so you know which bulb size your chasing. I have something similar on my headlights. I think you could match up the socket and rubber grommets.

Tried that earlier and found out the shoulders on my torx bits are too big 🙄. Picking up slimmer ones tomorrow, hoping to get the bulbs at the same time.

Bulbs used as city lights in h4 headlamp housings can be for either w5w or ba7s bulbs, and usually push fit into a rubber grommet in the rear if the lamp.

This is the sort of thing I had in my H4 lamp units - https://www.ebay.com/itm/4051927683...pid=5337789113&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

Think that looks pretty close. From what I could see through the headlight they look similar to the 6v panel lamps we use at work. Closest to that would be the T4W (BA9s) bulbs I suppose.

Guess I’ll have to wait to get slimmer torx bits tomorrow and remove the headlight to see the existing one.

Wiha makes an outstanding driver set that are individual screwdrivers. Much better than bits.

Lpoking at the bulb dimensions the T4w is probably the bayonet size used, rather than the B7s I'd mentioned.

Ordered up a pack of T4W (BA9s) and a couple of holders purely based on availability/ next day delivery off Amazon. The BA7s seem more difficult to get hold of here in the UK.
