Didn’t have yellow marking compound, getting about .008 backlash. Not sure if pattern looks good. Kinda hard to tell. Opinion? Thanks

I can’t tell much from the pictures. Some of it appears a little too deep, but others look okay. I don’t feel comfortable making a decision about it. In years past I did them with nothing but white Lubriplate, but I was seeing it, rather than a picture of it. Sorry I’m no good to you.
I can't read that for squat. I hate the prussian blue compound. Add more pressure to the ring gear while turning it.

My old eyes don’t like the blue stuff either. What I can see looks weird. New gears?
So if you did not change anything with the pinion set the backlash back to what it was if you know or 8-10 thou if you do not. No reason to worry about the pattern as it is what it is.
