Search didn't give any results. So ... does anyone have any experience with this fuel pump?

I'm going to drop the fuel tank cut out 1" to raise it. I might as well replace the fuel pump while I'm at it; along with the hoses, etc. My standard practice is to replace stuff when disassembling hard to get to parts. Yes, I know I could install an access plate.

I'm of the opinion that replacing working OEM parts for insurance with Chinese parts is a bigger gamble than leaving it alone. Though, I cannot find where this pump is made. I used a cheap fuel pump only once, and when I put in the truck, it already had a whiny bearing. Lesson learned.

RockAuto has a Delphi pump for $125. Though, I remember from other threads that @macleanflood has an opposing experience where his Delphi pump(s) failed prematurely. I say this with anxiety because next to the computer I'm currently using on my desk, sits a brand new Delphi pump for my truck that I'm going to replace as insurance after 30 years.

I generally agree with you. If I wasn't already dropping the tank I'd leave it alone. I may still. Thanks for the input.

China sells the same pumps cheaper under other brand names. They make Delphi too. Listen to @macleanflood (y)
