Chasing a pulsing vibration that comes in at 45mph, fades away then comes back at 65. No change with front DS disconnected. Can I drive it up to 65 with the rear DS removed to see if the vibe goes away? It's a DC driveshaft, interesting that the vibe is least with the rear pinion angle 2.5 degrees down, anything less and it gets worse. Thanks.

Yes you can run without a rear driveshaft without issue. I’ve had to do this a few times and never ran into any problems.

Front wheel drive TJ's. Next thing OP is gonna ask is if he can swap a VTEC in it.

But yeah, running front shaft only is is fine. You might loose some oil out of the rear extension housing at first without the driveshaft installed to mate with the lip seal FYI.

Was thinking about a 2.0 turbo heard they're not too bad. With a SYE I shouldn't lose any oil right?
