I am working on installing an accessory fuse panel with ignition power and I stumbled across these two wires.

I haven't done any testing but I believe they may be powered by fuse 18 as that is a 15A accessory fuse and these two add up to 13A max.

Does anyone know more about these wires? Having a factory switched wire to tap into would be perfect for this project.

This answered all the questions I had! I was struggling to find it in the service manual.

The factory service manual that I downloaded from this forum doesn't have a table of contents. (1998)

Would people find it helpful to have a version with a clickable table of contents? @Chris, I am planning to do this to my own file so It wont be as much of a hassle to find certain sections while on mobile.

What more do you want to know about them?

I was looking to see how they were powered and what fuses were connected. I confirmed the unswitched is powered by fuse 18 and the switched power runs in parallel with the cigar lighter, both being powered via fuse 19.

When you get this all complete, why not send it to @Chris so he may appropriate changes as he sees fit.

I'm sure he would appreciate the assistance.

Thanks for posting that info so I don’t have to search the non-indexed service manual. 😜

Sweet! I will send it over when I get it finished up, takes a while to make sure everything brings you where it should

Mine didn't have these ☹️

Mine were buried very deep to the right on the fuse block, I knocked them loose on accident trying to route some wires.

I don't know if was a standard feature or not, I believe it may be optional. I do have a sport that has about every option including dual top and the dana 44 so those may have been an options that added it.

Pretty sure 98 to 2000 and maybe on were wired for factory fog lights even if you didn't get them
