I was wondering if anyone could help me out. My TJ had the decals stripped before I bought it. I'm wanting to replace the "Jeep" in the embossed area, the "Wrangler" above it, and the "4.0L" between them. My TJ is an X, and didn't necessarily come stickered that way, but that's what I think I'm putting on it.

What I need is for someone with their stock decals to measure the height and width of the "Wrangler" and "4.0L" decals for me. Any straight on pictures of those and the "Jeep" on the embossed area would be appreciated, but not 100% necessary. I have the fonts to cut these on my vinyl cutter, but I'm trying to get the exact dimensions dialed in and I don't know anyone near me that still has their stock decals on their TJ.

I know these can be bought, but I have the stuff to make them, and would like to do it myself, as well as be able to make them for friends and whoever needs them. I enjoy doing it when I actually know what size they need to be :ROFLMAO:

You could also search for an "X" in your area and call dealerships or even junk yards. Make it one of those knowledge gathering excursions. You could also search for an "X' and eyeball it. It seems fairly easy. I found this. https://www.rubitrux.com/2006-custom-jeep-wrangler-sport-x-black-700062.html

I can get it reasonably close, yes. But if I'm going to make these for others, I'd like to have it as close to factory spec, size-wise, as possible for those that care.

When I'm out and about, I'm going to stop at the first TJ I see that may have the factory decals and get some measurements.

Regarding the X, I don't think I'm putting that on mine. It doesn't necessarily look bad to me, just not my favorite. Not to mention, if the logo file I have is correct, there's a LOT of tiny dots/small pieces of vinyl that make up parts of that X logo that would be a nightmare, if not impossible to weed & apply correctly.

I'm a "go all or nothing guy myself". Just sayin'. Most people will appreciate that kind of detail.

I have the files. In fact, I have several of them. The problem is, I have yet to find one sized properly. Some are way too big, some the font is thicker than it needs to be. None of them end up looking right. If i have the size, I can make an accurate copy or resize and existing file. I found an old post on another site where a guy listed the "Wrangler" and "Jeep" measurements, but his "Jeep" measurement was so far off, I didn't bother trying the "Wrangler" one yet.
