hey guys, id love to pick up a stubby bumper (however the bank account is disagreeing with me per usual.) ive seen some rigs with the stock bumpers cut down and im wondering what the best way to do this is, my first guess is a sawzall. thoughts?
John,Just a thought here. Do u have the luxury of a machine shop nearby, I'm sure u considered that option or ruled it out?
I was thinking a simple bar at a 45* angle, something like @JeepNWilly has maybei didn't even think of that.. i have one down a short drive away from me ill have to head over there. what were you thinking about doing with yours?
this will probably be the play. wish me luckI used a 4.5" angle grinder with a cut off disc to cut mine. If you have a steady hand and can follow lines, you won't have any issues cutting it.
yeah that looks great. if you pull the trigger on it shoot me a photoI was thinking a simple bar at a 45* angle, something like @JeepNWilly has maybe
Hey I will and you do the same !yeah that looks great. if you pull the trigger on it shoot me a photo
X2. I'd be using an angle grinder or a recip saw. Whichever was easier to get to. Of all the things to cut up on a Jeep, the front bumper is among the easiest to deal with.I used a 4.5" angle grinder with a cut off disc to cut mine. And you even left it attached to the Jeep! You maniac!I used an angle grinder, cutting the bumper down to about 46" and angling the ends to about 45 degrees. Just about the easiest mod ever.
