My memory is a bit fuzzy, when did Chevy did out of corporate racing?

Road race, 24hr of Le Mans-ish.

63-Z06 tag, I believe may have been the fuelie 375hp 327ci.

Side pipes. Non-knockoff rims.

Plate frame I cannot clearly make out.

This pick have me all a flutter with hard nipples.

1963 also had the large drum brake and/or large fuel tank options.

That's the first time I've ever seen lake pipes and bellflowers on the same car. Not sure I agree with that choice. Lakers are a standard, whereas bellflowers tend to be more of an east coast thing, as I understand it. I'd have gone with the lake pipes on the '56, myself.

The history. And old Gene is still about spreading his knowledge to new generations.

Yeah I have seen him on a few different shows sharing his many years of knowledge…. Old school values and comes across as a genuine nice guy

And selling parts. My dad was looking for a few pieces for his Merc a few years ago and was told to contact Winfield Customs. He called and it was Gene who picked up. He bought a couple of parts off of him. My dad said he was willing to talk and seemed like a nice guy.

The more I look at that car, the more I like it. Personally, I don't like lake pipes, but that's a simple fix. I do think a little heavy flake would look good on it, like maybe the top, just a little something.

That he is. Gene kinda sorta mentored a young guy that used to work for me. The kid is now getting a reputation of his own in the custom car world. (I was a lousy boss by telling young Tim to do what made him happy)

Speaking of young Tim, his rod is closer to being finished.

Again, being the lousy boss I was, Tim bought the 327 engine from one of our sales guys based in Memphis. I had a job in s. Missouri, so I picked up the engine on the way back for the kid and brought it back to our shop. I let him rebuild during his lunch periods.

The car isn’t my cup of tea, but I admire the kids’ skills.

A good pic of my new trailer tug.

It sips fuel and is Buster Approved.

A blower and the shortest zoomies I’ve ever seen, he just likes to make noise and a little smoke. ;)

🎶Make a lil noise , do a lil dance , get down tonight 🎶
Not sure I’d be able to see through the letterbox front window and past that blower ( or valve cover haha)
