Car pics too cool not to share

Yes and no , I drove for decades daily going from 5200' - 9052' . It's not like I stopped and re-jetted on my way home from work everyday . The Blazer and K-20 ran just fine.
If you stay at a certain elevation , then it makes sense to re-jet , my ATV and snow blower are re-jetted to 8000'- 10,000' .

Is this like a physical modification or is it just turning a screw / adjusting

Yep, it only made sense of you were staying for a while. I never lived somewhere that had over 3,000' elevation change.

Just for information the worst Carb. EVER for offroad , is a Holley 4 barrel.
Even with an offroad needle and seat they suck!

I can't tell you the number of HOURS I spent trying to get a Holley to work Off-Road... And then only to have it fail again on the next outing.

And not to include the wasted money spent on every bandaid they offered next.

I have no off-road carb experience, but I've been around a Holley on the strip. I'm assuming the off-road guys also used the fancy jet extensions and vent tubes.

Yup , Holley's do one thing well , running wide open for only 1/4 mile at a time.

So would the Carter AFB's. I ran them over the Quadrajet but again I think it was due to a stereotype I'd gotten put in my head about them.

The only reason I use a AFB knockoff now , is the cat piss ethanol is absorbed in the nytrofil floats used in a Q-jet , Since the Q-jet was designed to use Gasoline and not Gasohol it can't work as well now. A Q-jet used the newly invented nytrolfil float because it had more bouyency over a brass float. But Gasohol is less dense and the float doesn't float as well. So now a Q-jet runs rich because the float doesn't float as designed. Totally sucks !
