Of course, if he had done his research truthfully, he'd have known this wasn't gunna work.

That thing is huge

Those triple slide campers are HUGE. Part of the reason why I decided against trying to put one on my truck. I would have needed to step up to a 5500 or 550 to safely carry one. And then you still need a 4' hitch extension off that to tow a trailer. Just really wasn't my idea of what I wanted.

There is that one picture floating around with a F350 or F450 that looks about the same.

 Man, that would be a lot of leverage.

And you figure 600-800 lbs of tongue weight. My sister had a shorter extension on here F350 with her horse trailer with a Torque lift hitch pulling her horse trailer and the rear of the frame twisted where the hitch is mounted. And that's only 2 horses which is lighter than our Jeeps.

That Host Mammoth weighs in over 4000 pounds dry. And what's in that cargo trailer?

What amazes me is he felt it should be repaired buy Ram.

That actually wasn't a surprise to me. I have family and friends who own shops and have heard/seen some dumbass stuff, like never changing oil/filter, then blaming the car company. I've seen at least 3 Toyotas make it to 60-80K on the factory oil/filter. Of course, the owners were oblivious to that general maintenance, and at least one wanted to file a warranty claim. Dumbasses like that are why we have gas cans that you can't pour gas out of. Stupid people are a protected species.

Yep, like the "Life Time Brake Pads" and the guy comes in with the rotors almost worn thru. Or the kid who got his brand new Ranger pickup stuck in mud and wanted the clutch replaced under warranty.
Yep I only worked in the auto industry for about 5 years and it was enough to make me realize many folks aren't very bright.

Here are a few from when I worked at a dealer.
Customer came in vehicle wrecked whole front end “ I here to get my vehicle fixed, it has a bumper to bumper warranty “
Vehicle locked up motor 35000 miles original oil filter
I installed a a/c system service advisor told the customer it would cost 995.
Customer got to the cashier pulled out a 10 dollar bill.

I worked at a brake and suspension shop for a while back in the early '80s. I'll never forget the guy with the '71 Torino with massive brake pulsation transmitting throughout the car. When I pulled the front wheels, the brake rotors told the story. He didn't want to spend the $11.95 per rotor (!!!) that we charged to turn the rotors, so he did it himself with a grinding wheel chucked-up in his hand drill. Yeah. He ended up having to pay for some wrecking yard rotors, which we ended up turning...

If it wasn't for seeing a ferd with the same problem, Id be inclined to say dodge should fix their junk for free. Either case could have been a disaster if the kids were in the campers when on the road. Just think if they were just about to go under a low bridge or overpass.
