Budget control arm idea

Absolutely if you see yourself making some changes the double adjustable really facilitate that- I’ve seen both sides of it-

....Double adjustable get loose and rotate

...Single adjustable drive you crazy when you’re trying to fine-tune

....I got my hands on one that had bad or no axle alignment done after a lift....With double adjustable I was able to correct everything in under an hour.

You've actually had a DA arm loosen up? Oddly enough the only jam nut I've ever had come loose was my Currie track bar, which obviously is a single-adjustable link. I tighten them all with everything my 175lbs can give it through a 24" breaker bar.

Not me but know of others that have - not common really.

But had the track bar loose nut joy too- worst death wobble ever. Never got the stains out of those drawers.

came across this thread doing research on what joints to try to cut down on how many JJ's I have to keep greased to be creaky.

Is there any new info in the last 4 years that shows any of these joints to be better than the others? I've been looking at Synergy (which is hard to make sense of because they've scrubbed their website of all things TJ), the Clayton Giiro, the Rancho D2, and of course the Metalcloak, even as stupid as their marketing is. I was excited about Rock Krawler adventure series joints because they appear to be more flexible than the others but they're taking their time making them available as builder parts to retrofit onto my arms and I don't know if they even have any intent to sell arms with the Adventure joints for the TJ.

@Blackjack @astjp2 @Fargo

I ran DDB for a few years up here before I switched to JJs and had no issues with mine. In fact they are going on my betters half's new XJ project. I like that they are not that expensive and very simple to replace.

The biggest obstacle for me to use them across the board is it appears all their housings have left hand threaded shanks because of the way their arms work, and their termination of TJ support makes it more difficult to figure out what I need if I'm trying to match up their joint with someone else's housing. Really it's true of builder parts in general, because most people probably come in with a better understanding of what parts they need and what goes together.

The latest post in my build thread has what I've figured out so far....basically I've figured out what to use if I go with Metalcloak, or with Clayton, and I can use synergy in the axle end of the front UCAs, but haven't pieced together how to do it anywhere else.

I'm not aware of anything new. But then again, my LJ has kind of become my garage queen and only gets out in the summer. So I've not looked into anything for a couple years.
