Broken alternator bracket

I’m changing my alternator and somehow managed to break the lower alternator bracket. I honestly have no idea how it happened. Anywho, I studied the area and a quick search gave me what looks like the correct part.

Mine broke right where the red circle is. No problem. Part seems to be affordable and I think the work will be manageable. I leave you folks with two questions.

1. OEM or Aftermarket, or it doesn’t matter? Dead jeep parts for about $40. Aftermarket about the same.
2. Any tips or pitfalls to watch out for while changing this part?
