Hey Guys,
I bought a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Tj
The brake pads need changing all round. I purchased stock for the front but they don't match.
The rear has a disc conversion but I don't know what size pads to get.
I'm a bit of a novice so go easy on me.
From what I have found out from the forum , I have Dana 44 rear and front ends.
Can you guys help

thanks

Jim

If you have a dana 44 front axle in a 97, someone has swapped that axle in (it isn't stock). You'll have to find which specific axle has been swapped in or just what brakes you have in order to know which brake pads to order. Same goes for the rear since the disc brakes are not stock either. Posting photos of both the front and rear brakes may help.

If you will post some really good sharp, clear, and well-lit (use a flash) close-up photos of your front brake calipers front and rear and the non-installed brake pads front and rear, odds are very good that brake guru @mrblaine will recognize them and tell you what you need. Same with the rear.

OMG thanks awesome Blaine. Who would have thought they would be on my jeep. Is that a problem should I switch it all out?
Guess I have to dismantle the back for you to help with that or can you tell from pictures of the back end and the back of the calipers?

No, don't switch it all out. That 73mm bore begs the question of what master you have though? A good pic of that wouldn't hurt a thing.

As for the back, we aren't sure I'm right about the front yet so the more pics the better.
