Brake caliper recommendations

Other methods are just fine - people do what they're gonna do, including you and me. Its all good!
The difference is, I'm stopping rigs on big tires and I need a reliable method to do that without the reasonably proper procedure for doing so debated by someone who isn't on big tires, and never will be. You can stop your rig with junk from the local parts store and be just fine with it. Most others can not.

That is exactly 110% correct - and is why I mentioned tire size in my original post. Between my particular driving style AND my 31" tires, we both agreed that I shouldn't use your pads - and that's completely fine (and true!). I know damn well that your pads are a game changer and literally a life saver for those with big tires - I'd be running them as well if I had such.

With all that said, do you have a particular stock style pad that you prefer for situations like mine? Or maybe I should say "one that you dislike less?" ;) Or does it even matter?

I may have a set for you. Send me an email and ask me about the Posi-quiet 105's. If I haven't tossed them all, you can have a set for the cost of shipping.

I've used and installed Black Magic brakes on several Jeeps, and highly recommend them. One was an XJ on 33s that I even towed a small trailer with, no issues. Sure, you can use the parts store stuff, but the parts store stuff has questionable (often shitty) construction and nonexistent customer service. Even if the Black Magic brakes stopped the same as stock (they don't, they are much better) I'd still buy them because the quality is better and immediately noticeable out of the box.
