Greetings, I have 2005 wrangler sport. It is lifted so high that my wife and struggle to get in it. I would like to bring it down. I am putting 15-7 wheels back on it but need to change the springs to finish the drop. Our use model in some off-roading but nothing serious. In or 70’s we want more comfort. Would appreciate your recommendations or what all I should consider. Thanks in advance..

Welcome. You will find a wealth of TJ knowledge and friendly folks here. Do you have a tire size in mind? Stock or perhaps 31s? Pictures of your current set up (stance and underneath) help a lot.

This might help. Measure your springs...

It's awesome to hear that you're wheelin' in your 70's!!!

Thanks Mac, it looks like I have 3” lift.

What size tires are you running? A 3" lift with 31s shouldn't be difficult to get into. I'm old and refuse to give up and lower my Jeep on 35s. I use my walker to thrust myself in, then drag it alongside the Jeep with a bungee cord. I put tennis balls on the legs of my walker to prevent dragging. My wife pulls herself in or gets left at home. She's "Taylor Swift" strong. 🥳 🤫
p.s. I hear @Kiwi TJ and @John Cooper do the same. 🤔

A small plastic step stool from Harbor Freight works well for getting in and out of a Jeep. Tie a rope on it so you can pull it back inside once you're in, also to lower it back down once you're ready to get out. I've also seen disabled folks use fold-open electrically-powered side steps to get in and out of their Jeep. Don't recall the brand, but it looks like a rock slider, then actuates when the door is opened. Appears robust, folks were on moderate trails with them.
