That's a big ol' boy! This is my third golden in my lifetime, with the first two being my parents' dogs. Our first pup was a 1.5yr old rescue from the pound. She'll turn 12 this December and has been the best family dog. While Marty trumps her by over double her weight, he knows she's still the boss. The shedding is so bad we had to get a robovac just to keep up and even then we still sometimes need to run it twice a day!

They do live a long time, nice mellow dogs. Mine just gets up when it's time to eat.
Sometimes he will hide from me when it's time for a walk, so lazy. My boxer doesn't mind getting most of the walks.
Here is our new shop cat. Rescued from falling between two pallets and getting her head pinched as a very young kitten. There may be some residual complications to the brain though. Sometimes the lizard wins

Rocky, the newest addition to the family. He’s American Staffordshire Terrier and Blue Heeler. We know little of his background, he’d been neglected for sure, likely abused. Gaining his trust the last few weeks and seeing him settle in has been great. He loved traveling on our last overland and quickly learned to be a Jeep dog.
Just 'cause you said it that way....
He's a Carolina Dog, aka American Dingo, they are a wild breed still.
