Anybody up for a random meme dump?

We had a ‘99 F250 V10 and it was a tire smoking machine. Also burnt oil since day 1 but it was a great truck.

The only problem I ever had with mine was a rubber hose under the intake manifold dry rotted and caused a vacuum leak.

I replaced it with silicone hose and no more issues.

Man, that V10 had awesome torque.

Other than constantly adding oil, I don’t think my dad ever had a single issue with it.

Personal story:

I used to have a 2000 F250 Super Duty 4x4 extended cab with the V10 and manual transmission.

We took the boat to the lake one day and I backed it down the ramp.

My son and I got in the boat to pull it off the trailer and my wife was going to put the truck and trailer into a parking spot.

As we're backing the boat away I hear the V10 revving and then my wife dumps the clutch and smokes the 35" tires all the way up the ramp.

A guy walking by gives her a thumbs up and applauds.

When she gets in the boat I ask her what that was about.

"I was afraid of rolling back, and I didn't roll back did I?"

That was a great truck. Shoulda' kept it.

Had a 2wd version of that same truck. Bought it new and kept it for 2 years. Damn thing had no torque but that engine would sing like a sewing machine! And it would definitely light the tires up on demand!

Torque? What were you smoking besides rubber fumes (Ahhhh, the smell when American muscle meats dry asphalt)????
2000 Ford 6.8l V-10, 310 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 425 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm

Vs

2000 5.9 Cummins I6, Manual Transmission horsepower: 235 hp at 2,700 rpm torque: 460 lb-ft at 1,600 rpm

Sad thing is I remember the '87 Ford Crew Cab 350 Dually we had when I was in my late teens could have probably out towed both of them going up a hill with heavy trailer. It was putting out about the same numbers as the Cummins witha slightly higher RPM for max torque.

It had massive torque compared to any truck I had before it.

I got rid of it because it was WAY more truck than I needed.

The heaviest thing I ever towed with it was around 6K and it towed that effortlessly.

I dug around a bit and here is the boat right before putting it in the water, and my tires before $50 of rubber was removed.
