That stupid meme makes the rounds on the motorcycle groups too. And any GOOD rider will tell you how much BULLSHIT it is... If grass clippins are dangerous then all the leaves from trees are worse. Ride for the conditions you're in...
I sold my Harley about 5 years ago after riding most of my life.
I'm pretty conscious of throwing clipping on the road. One particular day mowing the road ditch the wind was taking the clippings out on the road edge.
A group of bikers coming down opposite lane were sure quick to flip me the bird which I found ironic as I had stopped moving like I always do when any traffic is coming in case it would launch a rock or piece of debris.
Probably a bunch of dentists out for a cruise.
It's just a funny meme since some grass isn't any worse that leaves or gravel or anything else that gets blown onto the road.
A couple of years ago there was an accident caused by a guy who slowed down quickly due to grass clippins on the road. But his wife was following him obviously TOO close and ran into him and then ended up dying from the injuries. This cause a bunch of folks in the motorcycle community to become outraged about the grass on the road.
Of course no one bothered to point out that if she hadn't been following to close the accident wouldn't have ever happened.

At least when they are in a group ride there's probably a doctor with them to help out with the wreck.
It also depends on the grass. Mostly dry, evenly-distributed clippings aren't a problem. Wet clumps can be very slick. Just like piles of leaves. Because that's what it is.
I've been offroad on wet grass that was every bit as slick as snow.
