I've never driven a large truck but from what I've heard many years ago that may not be a meme.
Of course, if it is a meme, it's gotta be archaic, maybe the very first meme in existence.
If there was a decal of that, I would stick it on my dash. (Gear shift has a Guinness bottle cap in it.)
Of course this only applies if you can float the gears and keep a 200 rpm range in the engines torque peak!
Modern common rail EFI makes this go away.
But there is something about a KTA 19 Cummins with a button or a Detriot 12V71T twin turbo running hard with a 6" blue flame
coming out of the stacks at night!
