I wonder how much cash it would take to replicate this TJU ? The cost is likely higher than we think.
I agree. I know exactly how much I have in my LJ build, and I won't share that information publicly. Let's just say that if he paid for the labor on his build, he's easily into it for more than he's asking. I'm not even convinced that you could pile up all the parts involved for his asking price. That said, anyone that builds a rig like this needs to understand they drop value like a boat or RV.

It's just you. I'd give $9.99, and turn around and sell it for $10,009.99 and make a cool $10k for my LJ build... :ROFLMAO:

I'll be honest, in the moment I hadn't considered the flipping option to finance parts for Tess. I officially retract my previous statement, though that Jeep still does nothing for me... :D

Imagine something like this that could be driven to the trailhead.

i find the seats stitcher a little funny, no way was this used for wandering, bully to explore. built to climb sure. built to crawl, even better,

wandering i think would be a weak point 😆

The pile on of bypass shocks and coilovers suggest this was built to go fast.

I may be wrong but I believe full hydraulic steering is illegal for highway use in most states. I know it is in AZ.

Correct. Consider that as a decision or an assumption guided by the philosophy of the build and the way things ought to be.

Who cares about that really though. It's also illegal to not have a front license plate here

If I were a potential buyer, I would be very interested in how well this thing runs down the highway for an hour or two. That would tell me a few things about it.

What does that have to do with what I said tho

Yep the parts alone, new, could come close to his number but now it’s all used I’d say it is worth $50-60k at best and you have to have a buyer with money to blow.

If your Jeep handles like an electric forklift and you fight to keep it between the lines at 45 m.p.h , are you worried about your front license plate ?

They are illegal because they can't be made to drive well?

The point is that if something like this Jeep does drive well on the highway and you can do it comfortably for long durations, then it is something special. Most will presume that good on and off road performance is mutually exclusive and will then build accordingly.
