Another headlight question

Greetings all - new to the forum. 1999 TJ Sport.... headlights not working. No 12V at the Red/Orange wire at drivers side light, and they feed eachother if I'm not mistaken.
. Suspected the MFS as the dimmer was spotty, so replaced it. No luck. Fuse #1 is good.

My question is about the physical wire routing. Does it stop anywhere between the MFS and the lamp? Because I do not have Red/Orange at the switch (pins 2 and 9 if I recall)... so it's stopping somewhere in the loom on the way to the headlamps. I really would like to avoid cutting up the loom to chase it - I'm about to run new wires and call it a day.

Am I missing something here? From my maint manual and everything I've read online, it's a simple circuit - Battery to fuse #1 - to MFS - to headlamps. The maint manual shows a daytime running lamp module but says Canada-only in one spot, but the schematics don't have a version that doesn't have the daytime running lamp module. This is a USA jeep - sold originally in Florida if I recall the selller correctly some years ago....

Not working in high or low?

Looks like 30A Fuse 10 then a breaker internal to the MFS.
RD/OR is high beam +
VT/WT is Low Beam +
BK is -

Neither HI or LOW beams are working - my manual doesn't show that 30A fuse - then again it shows daytime running lamp module circuit only....

Just checked, and wouldn't you know it - the 30A is blown ... it actually looks like it "broke" at the blade. I assume it's factory and might've become brittle? Never seen that before. Now I gotta go buy some bigger fuses, none on hand.

FYI, I pulled those snips from the 99 FSM posted here. It was early in the front lighting diagrams, I think the ones further back all had the DRL stuff in them.

Also, double check the wire insulation right up by the lights. My 06 had dry rotted and I could definitely see that being a failure spot where you could short and pop a fuse.

Yep - mine were pretty rough too... but had continuity so they've been cleaned and re-wrapped.
