Am I missing an interior trim piece?

Oh ok. This is my first jeep, I didn't know that. Even after 2.5 years I'm still learning something new all the time about them.

My first Jeep was a 1978 and I learn something new every time I log onto this forum.

My first jeep was an 05 LJ that didn't have the carpet, then I had a 99 Sahara that had it which made me think it had been removed from the 05, then I got my 06 where it was gone again and finally figured it out with the help of this place.

nothing there on my 06 X model. it was one of the first things i noticed after purchasing it a couple years ago.
