A legend passes

I still have one of the originals from 1979- this is my 40th year riding. I meet him a few times in the past, and for a man who's name was plastered everywhere in the industry, he was exceptionally humble.

He was definitely a legend for sure.

Sad indeed. A real pioneer. Stowe in VT did a nice tribute to him earlier on the mountain with a large gathering of snowboarders

I truly admire people like him , who carve a life from thin air basically , and follow their own star .

Whether its a musician , an entrepreneur , an athlete ...the people who have the courage to survive from their own vision, dreams and talents against all odds inspire me the most .

His wife had a nice deli in Stowe I used to sell ice cream to. Very nice people, always fun, always happy and upbeat. Sad.
