I must need thereapy, I am working on a 97 & a 98. The 98 was a daily while I worked on the 97. Anyway. I started having electrical issues, like radio cutting out, then back on.
Gauges go off, then come back on, oil pressure gauge goes off then back on. So tonight I decided to pull the dash and inspect everything. Once I pulled the gauges I found a fresh loose wire. The wire came out of the connector on the right side of the gauges. I cannot get the metal end out of the plastic connector so i can put the wire back in it. Also there seems to be one wire cut that i cannot find in the harness. Any help would be appreciated.

For the loose wire, you'll want to make sure you have the right tools for removing the pin from the connector. A small pick or a specialized terminal removal tool can help you gently release the metal end from its plastic housing. Be careful not to damage the connector while doing this. Once you free the wire, you can reinsert it properly.

As for the cut wire, trying to trace it back through the harness can be a little tricky. Check for any visible damage further along the line, or see if there’s any chance it leads to a different connector or component. You might have to follow the wire loom and see if anything was pinched or damaged in the process. If you can’t find it in the harness, consider using a multimeter to test continuity from the cut end back to the source for clues.
